Samsung has been releasing monthly security updates for a while -- VZW just needs to be more consistent in making them available to the end users.

It sure is strange that Verizon, AT&T, and T Mobile all stopped pushing Samsung S7 Marshmallow security updates in November.

I guess one needs to buy the carrier independent models directly from Samsung to safeguard the monthly security updates that Samsung is painstakingly releasing.

Egc13, we understand why you feel this way. The Nougat update did take a while to release. However, it is now available. You can update the Samsung Galaxy 7 today. Here's more information regarding the software update >> http://vz.to/2iBJZlW

DON'T DO THE UPDATE. Unless you don't mind having no way to connect to WiFi and then having to do a factory reset on your phone.

I just did the update to both of my S7's with Nougat and they connected to my Wifi immediately after booting up. The only thing I did before downloading the update I cleared the phone cache
