I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and carry it in my pocket. I am constantly pressing the button, somehow unlocking it and either I call someone or I take screen shots of my phone. The screenshots are not as bad but I have called several people and did not realize it until they call me back. I have a I-Bison protective case on my phone. I took it off thinking that was doing it but even when I do not have the case it does the same thing. Any suggestions?

I would recommend changing your screen lock setting. In settings under the Personal section is Lock Screen. Instead of the swipe go to face unlock, a pattern or Pin. That should stop the unlocking and provide some security for your data. If you are worried about a difficult pin, pick something like the same number 4 times (e.g., 5555) and you will be into your phone just as quickly. A more complex pin will probably be better at solving your issue though.

hard to believe both the power button & the slide lock completed before pocket dialing.

The only other option is buying a case with belt clip, and clipping it on your belt, or getting bigger clothes. I've never had the pocket dialing problem with any phone.

I know it sounds amazing but it does. I love the phone otherwise. I do a lot of physical work such as mixing concrete and such and somehow it does all that.

I tried using a pin code or pattern and somehow this evening I triggered the emergency dial on the screen which was not good. My phone dialed 911. I found this nifty app on google play which uses the light sensor to detect when the phone is in the pocket. The app is Pocket Keylock: PocketSensor - Android Apps on Google Play
