reconnecting to home router after a reset to default settings

I have a Samsung 7.  I had to do a change to the phones default settings and now it won't recognize my home router's IP address.   Is there a way to get that reset?   It has a long password but it was connected in the past to it.   I can't find how to go into it deeper.  Can it be done from my Verizon wireless acct at all?

Is the home router from Verizon, a different ISP, or is it one you purchased yourself? Do you know the model of it?

Do you have any computers that are currently connected to the router? If a computer is connected, you should be able to pull all of the connection settings from it to get your phone reconnected. If all else fails, most routers have a button on them you can press to reset them to their default settings.

If you go into wi fi 3dots top right advanced and go to wps push button this should connect your phone without  all the problems of the password.
