Same thing happens - cycles through charging and not charging regardless of safe mode or not. It's a pain and hasn't gotten any better.

Please perform a device health check by following these steps (launch My Verizon App>tap the three lines at the top left>customer support>device health check. Please share the results with us after it is done.
