My Samsung S8 died. Took it to Ubreakifix. Diagnosed w/a bad board, no hope for revival w/o an extremely expensive fix. I was eligible for an upgrade so ordered a new Samsung A50. I got the new phone yesterday only to discover that I apparently need to turn on old phone and download an app for content transfer to new phone. I cannot turn on old phone to accomplish this. Is there an alternative method? Such as removing old sim card and putting in new phone?
I understand the importance of getting your information transferred from your old device to your new device. If the old device will not turn on, the only hope would be if you had content saved to a cloud source like Verizon Cloud, Samsung Cloud, or Google. Do you know if you have any of the set up?
