1X service but used to be 4g

My husband and I are having problems receiving and placing calls in our home the last 5 days. I don't always get my texts. We have always had 4g service but now my phone says 1x.  Did Verizon make some kind of changes?  I will try to dial out and it will tell me to enable my wifi calling because there is no network. What changes could have been made?

staylor875, we know it is important to be able to connect and make calls with others no matter where you are. What ZIP Code are you encountering issues? Were there any recent changes to your devices or service such as a software update?
