I've read about this on another board as well. Mine seems pretty good however.

Their solution is to try this - charge the battery with the phone powered on. Once it is fully charged and it pops up battery full, unplug it and power down. then plug it back in until the battery is fully charged again. They seem to think the meter is not reading the battery fully and this procedure is referred to as a "bump charge". Dunno if it will work but.....hey...cant hurt right?

I tried that and still the battery life wont last a day without having to charge it at some point, any other sugustins? And no my batter life has not improved much sience the update of Froyo.

But much thanks

Have you checked under Settings-About-Battery Use to see if anything is there?

About once every couple of weeks, I will power off the phone, pull the battery for about a minute or so, put it back in, and then charge is overnight while it is off. I heard this from someone..

I also know my battery is not lasting as long also since Froyo, but that is because I am using it more now than I did before also. I am constantly looking through the settings, trying to find this and that, see what new features and options are there, etc.  If I do not play with it all day long, mine last about 1.5 days, otherwise it lasts only about a day. After a full charge last night, I am currently at 37%, with light usage, but I am still looking around on the device.

My battery life went down after Froyo update. It barely lasts half-a-day even though usage pattern has not changed. With 2.1, my battery used to last one full day.

I hear that the new system needs some time to "learn". Hopefully, I will see improvement in a couple of days ... otherwise, this Froyo update sucks just for this once issue

My battery life too has been cut in half after the Android 2.2 update for Samsung Fascinate. Now I feel stupid to have updated the software on the first day.

If you are experiencing similar problems, please take 2 mins of your time to call Verizon and tell them about the battery life problem as I just did. After initial troubleshooting, they collected my information and sent it to Samsung. Samsung should know about this issue because only they are best equipped for fix this problem. Posting complaints on a web forum isn't going to help much. So please call Verion now.

Morning all, about the battery life.... Still not good. I will probelry god to Verixon store this weekend and see that happens.

I did try acouple of other suggetions posted on other Adriod forums as to help improve the battery life.

1. Turn off the GPS and Bluetooth this way its not constantly looking for single (these are features not needed on a day by day basis)

2. Go to Display Setting > Brightness > set it to 10% and dont use the Automatic Brightness box/option

3. When ever you can use  Wi-Fi, the use it. At home I did notice that the battery life last longer and that was due to the fact that at home I am connected to my Wi-Fi so its not constatly searching for a tower to get information to my phone.

Ok so just to make sure I understand, about using the Wi-Fi.  If I set it up to use the Wi-fi do I need to turn off the mobile data?  Is that how that works?

If WIFI connects Mobile Data remains on but all data comes thru the wireless until WIFI is disabled or loses connection.  You can disable Mobile Data anytime and save some battery. If you arte in range of a WIFI access point allot I would use the wireless especially if you are in a weak cell signal area, weak signal equals more battery use resulting in faster drain.
