I purchased a NEW phone I asked when the next bill will be as I am on disability and can't have surprise bills popping up. 2 Days later the phone shipped and they charged me another $180.53 which started checks bouncing on all my checks some like $9 streaming app I ended up with over $500 in bounced check fees just from my bank let alone having to pay the big fees that other companies chared me. I got my phone on the 6th of the month and I called in 2 days later as it quit sending texts and got super hot. They sent me a refurbished phone I did not pay the bank fees of over $2000 for a refurbished phone they took 3 weeks before someone actually put in their notes to send me a new phone. This one the power button does not work. I called in and was sent a text by a supervisor who said she would be the only one I would have to deal with and had me send a text back to her she said 100% she was sending a new phone... as soon as they got the first phone back they would send me a brand new one. I have a refurbished phone with a power button issue. I called again by this time I have spent more than 70 hours on the phone trying to get this settled all of them said they were sending me a new phone but no one did anything. Today the guy I spoke to said he was sending me a new phone as they kept the stylis out of the first one since refurbished phones don't come with one I get an email for my order today says I order a refurbished like new phone. If I wanted a refurbished phone I would have purchased one in the first place. The NASTY lady I spoke to last night took the $400 signup bonus off of me saying I never was eligible for it I said I had trouble getting it to go through until Megan a supervisor told me not to use the / between month/date/ and year and to use a - between month-date-year and it went though. Verizon is selling REFURBISHED phones as new. I am calling the FCC and writing the Attorney General over this as it is NOT what is stated at the time in Dec. 30th when I ordered my phone it stated you could return a defective phone for a new one it did not say REFUBISHED or I would have NOT gone with them now they take away my $400 CROOKS

We always want our customers to get a working phone from us when there is something wrong with the first one purchased, mrdsq1. When purchasing a new phone, a new phone should have been sent to you as long as you were within the 30-day return period, anytime after that the warranty replacement would not be a new phone.

I tried to return it within a week of receiving it and they told me to keep it until they sent me a NEW phone which took over 3 weeks to get here and it was a used phone I was told to put the stylis in the original phone and put it in the box it was sent in I did that I was told they were sending me a NEW phone that refurbished phone was a mistake I never got a new phone or a stylis I was told I would have to buy one. If I do not get a NEW PHONE as PROMISED by several managers then you are going to lose a customer I had Megan send me a text and said she was sending a new phone and if I had any questions just text her back I responded while we were talking on the phone and she got it she never responded to any more questions and I am now writing the Attorney General and calling the FCC tomorrow I am tired of the games spending over 70 hrs on the phone and being told no notes were made and even some days they did not even mention I called you to have people overseas that can't even speak Engish taking the called one Asian girl responded to me when I asked to be transferred to the United States Her response was "What is United States" I repeated the question again and responded the same I said they are who are paying you and I had another Asian girl who spoke only in her language NOT ENGLISH at all... I have been hung up on so many times by these people you have working for you... With all the extra fees I had to pay due to you charging my account when you were not supposed to, this phone cost me over $2000 I did not pay this much for a refurbished phone I called in 3 days after I finally activated it myself no one from Verizon could do it and the local store said they would not help me... I have given you this long to make it correct I am now taking further action

I responded to it I got the phone in January and tried from Jan 7th the first day I got the phone activated stating that the phone was getting super hot so hot you would not want to put it to your ear to talk. I was told then I would get a new phone I then called back in and they told me to keep this until the new phone came. I called as I could not send or receive texts. The tech took over my phone and had me reset it and still could not send me a text they told me then I would be getting a new phone I can't help it that UPS took 3+ weeks or it was Verizon taking so long as it said the label was created but the phone had not been sent the emails kept coming stating they delivery was held up again and again when you finally sent it I don't know who had the issue but it took that long and to me, it sounded like it was Verizon. Nivia an extremely rude supervisor said too bad I was stuck with it OMG I was a Service Manager for G.M. for years and had one of my service writers talked to a customer the way she did I would have fired them on the spot NO ONE deserves to be disrespected as she did me, she told me she took my $400 switch to Verizon Visa off of me I didn't deserve it. She was so rude it was unreal. I tried from the 7th of January to return that phone for a new one and got sent a used one that does not want to turn on. I am going to do some research over the weekend to see what other Govt. agencies I can get involved with the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT on a 30-day return as you make sure that the new phone is NOT sent out within that time... If someone does not send out a new phone I am done with Verizon.
