This past Sunday my wife and I both upgraded from Droid 3's to the Note 3's. Prior to the upgrade our call quality was great, no issues at all. Since we upgraded to the Note 3's, just like the Sprint customers are complaining about, the calls received are garbled, cut out, chirp... quite annoying and hard to have a conversation. It is the same on both phones, not just one or the other. Anyone we call seems to hear us just fine, but the quality coming in hearing other people talk is terrible. I called Verizon and the first lady I spoke with text'd me an 800 number and told me to call back because at the time I was actually on my phone with no alternate phone to use so that they could troubleshoot the phones. When I called that number, the new lady I spoke with told me that it's not the network so has to be the phones themselves and that I could go get different phones since I'm within my 14 days... not different Note 3's, but different model all together... no troubleshooting or anything, just said it was the phone and to get a different one...
Is anyone else having call quality issues, and if so, is Verizon aware of it? It seems to be the same issue that Sprint customers are complaining about, so I am thinking it is a software issue on Samsung's side of things? Anyone have any suggestions, or just wait it out until there's a software or firmware update?

I am having the same issues with my Note 3. Seems like it's an issue with the phone itself and not any of the carriers. I really love the phone and the sound quality with music and video playback is great. This ONLY seems to happen during a phone call. I'm thinking about contacting Samsung to see what kind of a response I get from them. I've only had my Note for 3 days and nothing I do seems to work. Believe me when I say I've tried everything. I hope there is a software fix that they can do and it's not a hardware issue.

daddyof4,
We're happy to have you back, and we definitely want to fix this so you're happy with your phone again. Is it slow when you use a specific app? Test it in Safe Mode http://vz.to/1hZTLq6 for a couple of hours and let us know if that helps.

Verizon note 3 kitkat update ruined the whole note 3 experience I hate my phone now because I can't have a 10 min conversation without the call dropping. My wife and mom where thinking about getting the phone and they both are very hesitant now. I've called with no results.

Yes. Lately people sound garbled. Dropping calls as well. But the sound quality issues is in the past month or two and it's driving me nuts. Have to constantly ask people to repeat themselves.

Alice44 We're sorry to hear about the call quality issues. For your specific issue. Have you recently used any bluetooth headsets?

Hey B33. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with KK. Maybe it's the bloatware (re: crapware) that screws up KK.

Hello Everyone.
I no longer receive email notification from this thread, but I was wondering if the original users were still having call quality issues. I know we received a few minor updates in (was it Jan) and i was wondering if that helped. It helped mine some, and I got the interference occassionally and not as often. However it is still not acceptable to have it at all.
Lately, I noticed my calls are dropping a lot more. I also get the wireless connection is unstable notification when I am at home. I'm not sure who I go to to complain, as I bought the phone and insurance from Best Buy.
I am also concerned about updating to KitKat, is there anyone who has had the original issue, update without any problems? Or did you receive additional problems?

I also forgot to mention that when I send a group text (MMS) to my friends, my messages go them individually, although, I have it checked to be sent to the group. I have had nothing but issues with my phone. I don't even know if I would continue with Android, or Verizon. I really don't know what to do.

LShan,
Let's ensure you can use your phone with no issues. What's your zip code? Are you having issues everywhere? Indoors and outdoors? Please share additonal details.
