I installed "My Tracks" app from the market on my Fascinate and use it bicycling. It appears to be very accurate except for the elevation. When I upload the data to Google maps and then go and view it, it cuts my elevation graph off anywhere from 20% to 60%. Anyone else having this problem? If not, I would appreciate knowing your setting so I can replicate them. Thanks much!
I used My Tracks while walking the dog this AM. It said I climbed about 350 ft while walking a dead flat course. The distance and route track are perfect though. GPS in general has a tough time with altitude, even my Garmin 705 bike computer is often wildly off in the weeds on that. You might try some different free apps, like the one from mapmyfitness.com.
