My NUMBERSHARE number for my BMW connected car were disconnected/deactivated. Now I'm trying to connect my BMW eSIM again and I get this message
"NUMBER ALREADY ONBOARDED."
Need help from Verizons IT departmetnt to "un-board" my cell number completely so that I can get connect to my vehicle with a new number share plan.

@Inergystar, that's a bummer.
I found this thread in a BMW forum and it sounds like there's a software issue (still) with eSIM where you may even end up with multiple lines added to your account, so you may be better pairing your phone via Bluetooth to the car? It is not only with Verizon, as someone using Blue Logo Place also reported eSIM issues. The most recent posts to the thread were from last month.

I read this forum every night. BMW is the problem. Rolling out this technology in BETA . BMW know it does not work. I am sick of the mess
IF THE FEATURE DOES NOT WORK BMW NEEDS TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE. That's all.

This problem started in October 2024, after BMW had major software outage with the app. eSIM has not worked since the outage.

Hello there, I wanted to follow up since I saw you were still experiencing issues with your BMW eSim. I'm going to include some troubleshooting steps for you to reference. Please feel free to let me know if this resolves your concern, if not we can further review your options at that point.

Open the MyBMW app. Tap the Profile icon
(bottom right).
- Tap Personal eSIM
- Tap ACTIVATE ESIM
- Tap Mobile network provider then select Verizon
- Enter your Verizon phone number.

Enter the phone number you want to be associated with your BMW Account.
- Tap
- Shop plans.

Log in to your Verizon account then follow the on-screen instructions to select a plan and complete activation.Once you enter your login credentials, return to the web browser for the Verizon microsite to continue with your plan selection and activation.Only the Account Owner or Account Manager can log in to authorize onboarding.
- From the confirmation screen, tap
- Return to MyBMW.
- From the Request completed prompt in the MyBMW app, tap
OK.

To add your personal eSIM to a vehicle, refer to Download eSIM Profile.

After I log in it says number already onboarded

Have you tried a factory data reset on the infotainment system of your car? This will erase any devices you paired to the system, or any apps you installed which didn't come with the car.

Yes! Factory reset done a few times at the dealership.
