Being haunted by deleted e-mails! Deja vu

For the past 3-4 weeks I continually re-receive..That's right, I said re-receive my deleted e-mails repeatedly...yesterday I deleted 6 e-mails that I had received during the day...within 1 hour, I received the exact same e-mails back as though I had never received them in the first place.  Sooooo, at approximately 6:45 pm, I deleted them again...around 8:15 5 of the 6 came back again!!!  I have already done hard resets over the past 6 months and they did nothing...I'm not doing it again...I pulled the battery 3 times over the past least I receive MOST of my calls...texting usually goes through with limited problems....I will just continue to delete e-mails and wait till my contract is up next year and get an iPhone 5 (which will be out in the next 12 months).

If you log directly into whatever email server/service you are using via Internet, are the messages

deleted there once you delete them from your phone?

If not, make sure that account is being 'synced' on your phone.


If it is, you could try deleting them on the server itself, as a test. Then see if they reappear on phone.

You could also try deleting that email account.  Then readding it.


Weird problem, for sure.

Thanks  for the feedback and suggestion!  Good catch!  It does seem to be an issue with the phone not syncing deletions correctly.




Another question, what email provider are you using on your Fascinate (AOL, GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, etc....)?  Have you tried removing and re-adding the email account?  I am including links below for Removing and Adding Email Accounts on the Samsung Fascinate:
