So I just spoke with a nice rep who is sending me a brand new Droid Max for my crappy Nexus. No questions asked.
Good luck getting Android Jelly Bean on that.
You have your choice and I hope you are happy with your new phone, but I just don't understand all the bashing of the Nexus. Mine has been solid and supposedly an update is close to happening that will update the radios and help with the call drops and slow 4G/3G handoff. I think you should have waited to see if the update resolved your problems, but like I said, I hope you enjoy the Razer Maxx. One thing is for sure, it should last all day on that battery!
So because yours doesn't have issues you don't understand the countless customer complaints about dropped calls, no signal, wifi bootloops, and random reboots?
Many people have installed the leaked 4.0.4 software and radios and there problems were not resolved, just as many installed those things and there problems were resolved.
The update is not guaranteed to fix all problems for all customers.
My cell phone is my only phone, if I had experienced those issues mine would have been returned within the return period, there is no way I would have waited almost 6 months for an update.
Been hearing that an update has been coming since March.
Could care less about jelly bean
Randy's Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Jellybean! Hah! They can't even get ICS to us and you're talking about an OS that hasn't even been released. By the time Verizon gets Jellybean ready for the Nexus it'll be upgrade time anyway.
I had 2 different Nexus phones and the radios are garbage. The only time 4G worked when was I was standing within eyeshot of the antenna and 3G was almost as bad Having a dysfunctional phone and hoping a patch MAY fix it JUST to have the newest OS, is just ridiculous.
I'm very happy with my Rezound (the radio in this phone is phenomenal) and I bet it gets ICS about the same time the Nexus does.

the nexus already has ICS. it launched with it 6 months ago.
Doh! You're right. I actually meant ICS 4.0.4. I JUST read on Phonearena that the Nexus 4.0.4 update has just begun rolling out...guess I would have lost that bet.
I just checked and still don't have it.
