Calls Echo

I have had an issue for the last few months of callers echoing when they call me.  When they call, they can hear themselves.  However, when I call them, this does not occur.  I have even turned off my blue tooth thinking that could be the issue, but it is not.  I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra

carrpete, we're sorry to hear about the echoing you're experiencing in your calls, and would love to help. Please tell us, does this affect every call you receive? What signal do you see on your phone when you experience this issue?

Hello,  the signal is always fine, as it doesn't matter what location I am in, it always happens.  I did a search on the Samsung page and found others with my phone that have the exact same problem.   One solution was turning off the 'talk back' feature.  To be honest, I had no idea what what that was as I have had this phone for over a year and the issue just started occurring.  Yesterday, no one had the echo problem.  So I am hoping that solved the issue.

I was told by the help desk to change a setting, which I did, but it happened again yesterday.  I would like to know the permanent solution.

It was the talk back feature that I changed. The echo does not happen on every incoming call.

Hello, MarilynE1, thanks for letting us know you're running into an issue with an echo on your calls. To make sure we're on the same page, is this happening only on incoming calls? Does this happen with certain callers? Do you recall any changes just before this started happening?

Nothing has changed in my home office and if I call them back, it is fine. Having to do this though is unprofessional for me!

Please see if anything in my neighborhood has changed as there's been a lot of construction....

I'm still having this problem, are you? In addition to the echo, now I can't always hear the caller as the sound cuts out as if one of us are in a bad area when we are not.

I'd test your speakers/microphones because they may be going out. I tried to post the instructions for how to do this, but the forum software keeps giving me an error message, so use your favorite search engine to look this up.

Hi MarilynE1. This has to be annoying. Let's get a few more details so we can figure out what is causing this call quality issue. Where are you located? What model of phone are you using? Are other Verizon users also experiencing this at the same location?

About 95% of the calls I receive are getting the echo. I don't hear it on calls I place, just ones I receive. I've had this issue sporadically for about 4-5 months, but it seems that it's almost every call recently. I've tried turning the various fixes I've seen, but none have solved the problem. I'm located in SW Ohio and I have a Galaxy S21+. I'm wondering if this is a tower-related issue?

I'm sorry to hear you are having an echo issue. We would love to help!  Is this when calling Apple devices? What software version are you running? -Joe
