Can I exchange my current device?

Phone over heats at night when charging. Morning the phone screen keeps freezing, slow, battery only lasts half a day now. This started happening about a week or two now. I can't think of anything else to add to this since I haven't had my morning coffee, lol.  What should I do though? Anyone been having this same problem now or before? Should I go to a verizon store and see if they can exchange or something? I just barely got this new device last month, after having to replace another one that the SIM card reader didn't work so well, and got charged a "restocking fee" so I don't want more fees this month, I am a student and part time worker, so I don't want my spring break working money to go towards high fees to replace my phone or anything in that matter. Yeah, a different color is a fee.  You can stop by a store and if they cannot figure it, you'll get a warranty replacement.

Ah, okay, thanks. Hopefully I won't get any surprised fees though, if they do try on doing so, I'll just walk out and figure it out from there... I barely upgraded to this phone device and have to pay it off, so I have many other payments to pay off, not needing any other charges anymore.. *Sigh*

Well, they charged me since they didn't have the white color option at that store, supposedly.  I would have to drive 8 miles to another store where they did have it, and it was traffic time at that time, which I badly needed a phone the following morning for work, so I decided to cough up that restocking fee...

I am using the Samsung S6 Edge

You shouldn't have been charged any restocking fee for exchanging for the same device if there was a warranty issue.  What device are you using?
