Recently I cannot complete phone calls to any of my contacts who's carrier is AT&T AND have a 215 area code. When I attempt to call them the phone goes from dialing to call ended. I can send texts to them and receive calls from them but my calls will not go through. I can complete calls to my contacts who have other carriers just fine. I have been in touch with support twice but no real solution as of yet. Has/Is anyone having this issue as well?

We are sorry to hear that your service is not working when calling other numbers. With regard to your issues when did this start for you? Are there other customers with the same issues you've mentioned?

I have been on the phone with the tech people. They are working on it but so far I still have the issue. The attempts so far have been a new SIM card, resetting my network and going back to my original settings.

We appreciate you taking all those steps. Let's dig into this further. When was the last time you were able to successfully call one of those numbers? Do you know of anyone else who is having this same issue? What dialing sequence are you using (i.e. 1+ 10 digit number, 10 digit number only, etc)?

The last time I could call any of them was on October 19. I discovered the issue on October 20 and have made numerous attempts to get support to help me. I have spent over 6 hours on support chat and speaking with a representative at the tier 2 level. I have received 2 messages saying that my device and the network have no issues.
I can ONLY CONTACT 3 OF MY ATT contacts, all the rest it either immediately ends the call when I dial or I get a "call can not completed as dialed. I can receive calls from them and can send and receive text messages, I just can't call them.
I have tried calling with the 1+10 digit number, I have tried deleting the contact and dialing the number, I have removed my sim card, I have reset the network settings.
I do not feel that resetting to factory settings would be the solution as I AM ABLE to contact a few of my ATT contacts and have NO TROUBLE with calling any other contacts.
I have even had my sister spend over an hour with ATT Tech.Support because Verizon told me it was an ATT issue. It is NOT an ATT issue.

I experienced the same problems. I called tech support, received a new phone, sim card, went to a Verizon store, etc..., nothing worked. But when the Call Filter Plus trial ended, I was able to make the calls I previously could not make.

I had one final call with a Verizon Technician. About a week or so afterwards I called one of the numbers that I couldn't call and it went through. No one ever contacted me telling me the issue was resolved and how they did it. Some one had mentioned, I believe on this forum that my number may have been put in a call blocker implemented by AT&T. Phone numbers can be spoofed by spamers and this may have been the case in my instance. This is just a theory though. I wish that Verizon would have contacted me back and let me know what they did. All I can say is keep pressing them and always ask to speak with a person over chat.

We always want you to have no problem with making calls. I'm sorry to learn of the issue you're having, and I'm here to help. Tell me, can you receive calls from these customers? What specifically happens when you try to make a call to one of these numbers (error message in ear, error message on display, etc.)? Are you able to send and receive text messages with them? Please share some additional details, thanks in advance.

I have the same issue in area code 570. Spent time with Customer care and tech support and was also told it’s an AT&T problem. And when I’ve mentioned this issue the response I get makes me feel I’m the only one with this problem. Doesn’t tech support have internet access? Don’t they see all the complaints! How frustrating. I also was told my phone was not the issue though it is an Iphone6.

We understand this is frustrating for you. We want to get to eh bottom o this. Although it does sound like an issue with the other carrier, we can investigate. Are you still having this issue? Can those numbers call you?

When I had this issue I went through everything with Verizon. New SIM card, phone reset, etc. Eventually after multiple calls. The issue eventually cleared up but no one ever got back to me to tell me if it was something they did or AT&T did to correct it. All I can say is keep contacting Verizon until the issue is resolved.

Just had this issue with family. Two on Verizon couldn't call one with AT&T.
No one was blocked on the phones themselves. I had all 3 together so I could tinker and play on the phones.
Solution: The AT&T phone holder had a Call Protect app on his phone (wasn't activated) so I went in and did the free activation just to check and both numbers that weren't getting through had somehow been blocked on that app itself.

Thank you for your help and confirmation of the blocks in the application. It is common to block people you did not intend to as we try to block the spam calls or even by accident.
