Car dock & Froyo 2.2 question

Prior to Froyo, whenever I inserted the Fascinate into the car dock, the speaker 'ON" function automatically was engaged.  However, with 2.2, I have to manually press speaker to use that function when placing or receiving a call... kind of a hassle.  I'm unable to locate a setting to change it.  Any suggestions?

  I have the car dock, but have not gotten any calls on it at this point. I will have someone call me to test it. I know Verizon is sending me a replacement dock as the one I have still will not play music through the aux port.
