Changing sim card in my Galaxy S9+

I received a new sim card from Verizon to replace the original.  When I install the new sim card the phone searches for a Verizon signal with no success.  What do you think the problem may be?

Hi, there. We'd have to check to see if the SIM you received is activated, and if not, activate it for you. When you put the SIM in, was the device turned off, and did you power cycle the device?
