Clock Display in Version 4.2.2

I am new to the Smartphone Universe so I hope you will bear with me as I learn my way around.

I notice that since the Galaxy Nexus updated to 4.2.2 that tapping the clock on the home screen brings up a digital clock as well as access to stopwatch and timer functions. These are great. I also notice with the digital clock display that the hours are BOLDED but the minutes are not. Is this correct? Is there a way to change this display so that hours and minutes are displayed at the same intensity? I personally would like to be able to make hours and minutes both BOLD but having them the same intensity would be nice.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

That's not a bug.  It's a feature.  At least that's the way it's intended to look.  I can't stand it and changed the lock screen of both my phone and tablet to my calendar so I don't have to look at that sloppy clock.  Drag the lock screen to the right and you can add a new panel, then remove the clock.

You might search for clock apps (most are free) that you could try as a replacement for your device's stock lockscreen clock. One clock widget that I found to be a better design with several extension apps is DashClock...see Google Play description link:

Another one is Timewall Clock Wallpaper (also works in Daydream mode): "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stetel.timewall"

Transparent Clock and Weather is another excellent clock+ widget: "https:/play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droid27.transparentclockweather"

NOTE: Most clock widget app developers tell users up front to exclude clock widgets from task kilkers (memory boosters) to avoid time out of sync problems...to do this go to task killer's whitelist settings and uncheck clock apps.
