I have been a customer for over 11 years and it seems as if coverage gets worse with the advancement of technology. According to your coverage map, I should have 4G service in my area. That is not the case. I have no service. I can't call or receive calls, occasionally a text will come through and you can forget trying to connect to the internet. How can you be the leader in 5G coverage when your 4G coverage isn't working.
Not a happy customer!

My neighbors and my family have extremely poor coverage in 32819. According to the map, we should have 5G coverage but basically have zero reception. Several of our neighbors have switched to other carriers because of a better signal than Verizon provides. We’re getting ready to do the same thing, but hope that something can be done to remedy the situation. None of us need new phones. I will be happy to provide several social media conversations if Verizon needs proof that the signal just isn’t good in 32819. Thank you.

The last thing we want is to lose you as a customer, Jsf0322. We can certainly look into this further and see what is causing this problem. Are you having issues with calls, data or text messages? Does this happen indoors or outdoors?

I have also been a long time customer, I guess it's my own fault that I haven't gone to another carrier because of poor signal around my house and the local cities. Calls dropped, no internet connection and so on. The area has exploded with people and new houses/ businesses and you would think that Verizon would want new/happy customers. The zip is 28163

My service has continually gotten worse with each phone generation "update". I run a small business out of my house and am beyond incensed that I cannot even make phone calls from my house. You tell me that it's because the walls block the signal. I call bunk. I used to be able to make phone calls. There is a cell tower up the hill from me. Why can't you put your panels on it??? Everyone I know in my area uses Verizon. Your service here terrible. I have been a loyal customer with you for over 25 years. I am about to switch to AT&T, who I really hate, but has service here. Please do something about your shoddy service here soon, or you will lose my service, as well as neighbors and family in this area. Also, 90% of the time I drive through my area I drop calls. This is when I'm outside of my house. When will you, Verizon, begin caring about 48809? Because right now I think all you care about is Grand Rapids. There are thousands of cars that go through the 48809 corridor each day. I would think you would care they are upset your service is garbage in this area. Please do something soon, or I'm gone.

DiverDave,
I know how important it is to have great service, and to be able to stay connected no matter where you are. I can certainly understand why you would be frustrated with changes in your service that have caused your signal to weaken over time! We appreciate the fact that you have made Verizon your choice, and we don't want to see you walk away because of this. May I ask the city, state, and closest intersection to your area where you are having trouble? When did you begin having trouble in your area?

Tell me why I shouldn't leave Verizon and go to T-Mobile, which has superior coverage and more towers in my area (Zip 78258). The number of Verizon towers and signal direction in my area is inexcusable. I've opened at least two tickets with Verizon; I've gone through all the troubleshooting, yet the problem persists. It boils down to tower location and cell coverage after doing some research.
The signal strength on my S21 Ultra 5G (inside and outside) ranges between -100dbm and -125dbm, which is absolutely substandard. The closest tower is 1 mile from us. The next closest towers are 2.3, 2.4, and 2.6 miles away. None of the four towers shows a signal covering our area.
When are you going to put up some more towers? I'm near the Las Lomas subdividion, just about in the center of the map. Here's a link.

I found out from a friend's wife (who works locally for Verizon) that they lost a cell tower to a construction mishap about a year-and-a-half ago, which turns out to be the cause of our coverage in the 78258 area code. It hasn't been repaired or replaced.
When I make a grocery pickup at our local store, the signal is virtually non-existent. I have to connect to the store's WiFi to send them the text that tells them I'm there. When I'm at my storage unit two miles away, there is zero signal.
Pretty sad, considering I live in the seven largest city in the United States. In the United States; not outside, and not on the outskirts. Right in it.
If Verizon doesn't care I don't care. I'm switching providers.

Thank you for reaching out to us on Social Media, Carlos! I regret knowing you're having issues with your service and connectivity is important! Have you tried a Network Reset? If not, what type of device do you have? Typically, that helps get the device back on the network.

Carlosj62,
Hello, how are you other then having terrible network service, due to a downed tower of a year and a half ago?
I am wondering why you are still with Verizon after almost a year of stating you were going to go to T-mobile? The reason I ask, is I am doing research myself, in trying to find the best service provider out there is.
Thanking you in advance.

Going with a new phone should be an exciting time. To learn you're having trouble with your services since getting a new phone is unsettling & we're here to help. Just to clarify, what happens when you try to place a call, send a text & use data? Are you using a 5G SIM card?

Same here. I along with two of my friends, upgraded to s21 ultras and all three of us are having all these problems that are listed. We have all been verizon customers for years and never had problems until the last couple of years. Since I have upgraded my phone fron the s9 to the s21 ultra, it has gotten so bad that I seldom use my phone for anything. I use my ipad and call people through facebook messenger. The s21 ultra is a horrible phone and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I am in Indiana and my two friends are in louisiana on vacation and they just had to give me their other friend,s phone number to get in touch with them as their phones are not working. The friend has boost mobile and has perfect service.

It's definitely the S21 Ultras. Our S9s didn't have these problems in the same area. It doesn't help that Verizon's tower locations are poor. Seventh largest city in the country and my 5G & 4G coverage stinks with the S21 Ultra. [sigh]

We would be more than happy to troubleshoot these concerns with you to better discern the core location of these issues. Do you see improvements in service in any locations in your area? If so, how far do you have to travel before your service improves?

I've gone through troubleshooting with customer support and using your online, do-it-yourself troubleshooting to no avail.
Until Verizon puts another tower up near our address, 78250, service is going to continue to suffer. Unless that happens soon, we'll be moving to another provider after years of service with Verizon.
