CLS99, I do regret having to share this news, but Verizon Messages (Message+) is retiring on or about June 2024. It’s had a nice run, and I’m glad you got lots of use out of it, but it is being shut down. That’s why you’ve probably seen various services no longer able to be used with the app. Upon the retirement of the service in June 2024, the app will no longer be able to send and receive messages. One recommendation I have for a great successor is Google Messages.
More details about the coming change can be found here at this FAQ: https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-messages-faqs/
The section ‘Changes to Verizon Messages (Messages+) has those details.
While some sad news, I’m glad I was able to confirm the upcoming change. Thanks for the interest in Verizon Messages, and have a good day 🙂
