Had been holding back on the ED05 update (waiting to see feedback) before forcing/initiating the download.
BUT....was going through my Apps couple days back.....and got a surprise....Google Books!!
Never got the Update screen, Never agreed to start the Update, Never "Checked for Updates".......but I now have ED05, fully installed on my phone. Unfortunately, my long list of issues still exist (not surprised).
With all previous updates, I've had to "Agree" to download/start the install.
Looks like Verizon has the ability to force updates, a-la Microsoft, without our approval?
....and choose when our phones aren't 'available' to use (during the update).
Wondering if anyone else noticed this?
Normally the update box will time out and auto start if not cancelled in this time limit, this has been a normal situation for some while so if the update request happens during the night when you are sleep it will instal and be waiting for you with new update in the morning.. Usally the best way to avoid this is to power off device at night when you sleep..
