Failure to receive notifications

I have an S9+, the text and email notifications are set to on. Do not disturb mode is off.  I've talked to several Verizon customers with various model phones and they report not being notified of texts and emails as well.  Anyone have any insight?

Messaging is the way I communicate, so I completely understand how important it is. I'm here to help you. When did this begin, and did both email and text notifications stop working at the same time? Besides checking the Do Not Disturb" setting, have any other steps been completed?
