I heard they are discontinuing the Samsung Fascinate. What are they replacing it with? Also, since my daughter's phone is damaged we will have to go thru Assurion, does anyone know what they are using as a replacement phone?
Factory rebuilt fascinate, as crappy as that phone is I doubt if there is any shortage of phones returned at vzw
The Fascinate was released in Aug. 2010, so I'm surprised it wasn't discontinued a while ago. I'm sure Verizon has plenty of refurb Fascinates in stock, so I'm guessing that's what you'll get. Good luck with your replacement.
Asurion is the insurance company, they are a completely different entity than Verizon Wireless. Chances are Verizon Wireless has replacement phones for the Fascinate, it may be a retired device, but that doesn't mean they don't have replacements for warranty reasons. It just means they don't sell any new Fascinates.
