Swype isn't compatible with the Galaxy Nexus' screen resolution yet. Swype is working on the update, but it will be available as a beta. I doubt that it would ever be preinstalled on a Nexus phone, unless Google bought them.

At this point, I will never end up ever trying Swype. Not even the beta program.

Swype said that they don't have enough people to offer support so that the app can be in the Android Market. Also, they have this problem quite often where it takes a while for them to update the app for new OS versions, or new phones. Some of it is a knock on Swype. Some of it is the knock on Android device manufacturers for having so many different hardware and software configurations. The same choice that we, as customers, like about the absolute plethora of devices available make it hard for app developers to keep up and have good performance on 80-100 phones.
