Currently, if a notification arrives while using any Bluetooth device, the notification sound does not play through the Bluetooth device, nor does it play through the phone's speaker.
I have looked through all the settings, including the “separate app sound” setting and have been able to find any setting that is either enabled or disabled that may be preventing the sound from being played.
I’ve also searched google, and cannot find anything there either. Seems like this should be such a simple setting to change or make – feels like I’m missing something obvious!!
Anyone else having the same issue?
reepckey, thank you so much for this info. Thank you so much for all your efforts as it is concerning to hear that even with Bluetooth off, the sound notifications aren't coming through. I'm sure you have tried all these methods but I still need to ask, have you tried the following:
Notification sound: Choose a preset sound for all notification alerts. To find this, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Settings icon. Tap Sounds and vibration, and then tap Notification sound. Tap a sound to hear a preview and select it.
