I am in the 15th hour of troubleshooting a mixed apple and samsung groups messages. It worked great with my old Droid and iPhone 11. I moved to galaxy 23 and cannot get any responses. To date, I missed a birth, surgery and funeral texts. After changing everything on phone, Verizon sent a replacement galaxy. Group messages still doesn't work but Verizon sent me a message saying my phone is an iPhone not galaxy. I think my account is corrupt. Should I just take the trade-in hit for the galaxy and go back to an iPhone?

CamaroGold, we're very sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with MMS on your Samsung Galaxy S23. The last thing we want is for you to miss very important communications from the people you stay connected to. We'd love to take a closer look at your account and find out what's going on. To better assist, we'll be sending a Private Note.

20 year customer entering 16th hour of troubleshooting the inability to get or send to an imessage group. I was told my replacement g23 would fix it. I decided my time and effort is better spent trading in the s23 for iPhone 15 since I want a usb-c standard household. Now sales tells me apple.doesnt have this type of phone. Very disappointed with Verizon..and the fact they will not honor the fact they misrepresented themselves during the s23 sale and support ( telling me each time the problem will be resolved) they are than happy to sell me a new phone, new plan, and take the s23 for scrap.

For what it's worth, I'm having the exact same problem with my Pixel 8 Pro . The issue is with LEGACY group chats that include iPhones. If I start a new group chat with new individuals, it works fine. But if I try and use a group chat I had with my old iPhone, the recipients get my text, but I don't get their response . So I've missed tons of group texts. Apple says it's a carrier issue. But Verizon can't figure it out. I'm either going to have to switch carriers, or return my Pixel 8 Pro.

We're sorry to hear that you're having problems with those older group messages. Did you have an iPhone before your Pixel? What troubleshooting have you tried so far?

After 15 plus hours with Verizon, and too many tiers of support, I finally got a straight answer. It is not Verizon or a carrier. It is the Apple messaging platform. Unfortunately, Verizon support strung me along with possible fixes until I was out of the return/exchange period. I put too much faith in them. My neighbor heard about my issue and was able to get back his iphone (and fix the problem). My last call with Verizon was so funny!! I am running a USB-C standard home -- and considered the iphone 15. The support team told me it didn't have a USB - C port. Please get some training with the money I have given your company! And make sure to inform customers that the messaging platform may be the key issue. I don't mind troubleshooting possible fixes, but no one was upfront about proprietary messaging platforms. I would have kept my iphone. Fortunately I have great friend who caught the fact I didn't get texts when there was an emergency situation!
