Has anyone received their free Gear VR or S2 from Samsung Promotions yet?

My submission for Gear VR was sent in on March 9th and approved on March 22nd.  The status has said for weeks now that the estimated ship date is 4/1/2016.  It is now the 6th and I've heard nothing.  I submitted a question to the promotions website customer service and they just said to check the status website for updates, and they were not help whatsoever.  Has anyone received their free promotion gear yet or heard anything useful on the delivery of these?

I submitted mine on March 9th as well but I don't even have a ship date yet! If you look at the (now updated) Terms and Conditions, it states:

Terms and Conditions amended March 19, 2016 to reflect initial supply of 300,000 Gear VR and 35,000 Gear S2 outlined below have been claimed and to provide an alternative Gift option in lieu of delayed Gift delivery (see below).

Gear VRs or Gear S2s claimed before March 18, 2016, may be sent within approximately six to eight weeks after verification of Offer Claim Form, but in some cases, it may take longer for delivery (some items may not deliver until approximately May, 2016 based on item availability).

When you check your status on the Samsun Promotions web site, click on the Terms and Conditions - the updated info is in blue. I know this doesn't help a whole lot, but it kind of explains their delay in a sense. At least you have a ship date though!

I finally received my (3) Gear VR's last night. I just received my tracking info this morning. My original ship date was set for 4/1/16. Only 20 days late.

Any update on the delivery of anyone's Gear S2?  I submitted for mine on March 9th, it wasn't approved until April 7th! My delivery status has said pending for over a week.  I am getting super frustrated.  This is the most unorganized promo I have ever witnessed.

EXACT same situation I'm in.  Submitted on the 9th, got approved on April 7th and its pushing 2 weeks on just saying "pending" under status.  Apparently the early bird catches the worm, but gets shafted on promo items...

I received mine about a week and a half ago. I never received a tracking number and even after it was delivered, my status still showed pending. But one random day it showed up. I registered around March 9th as well.

What day did it get approved?  I think it has a lot to do with that. Mine took 4 weeks just to get approved. I am hoping it just shows up one day soon like I have read from others too and yourself.

Received this email over the weekend with the title "Activate your Gear S2" from Samsung Promotions.

I assume this means that the watches should be close to being shipped.  Did anyone else receive the email?

I got that email 4 days ago - I am hoping it meant it shipped to

me...either that or it means we SHOULD have gotten them already. I do not

know which carrier it ships thru but I have been anxiously waiting every

day.

I received that email on may 5th. I pre ordered mine and received my phone on March 9th. I also submitted my information for the gear s2 that day. It's may 14th and still nothing. C'mon Verizon and Samsung

At this point I'm incredibly frustrated with the while ordeal.

I submitted on Mar 14 and was approved I was told on March 16. Then I heard I was approved on April  14. But the email I got was cruelly on April 18. 8 weeks from my initial approval we this past Thursday. But oh wait. I don't have to wait 6-8 weeks from one approval, I need to wait for 6-8 weeks from 3 different levels of approval. Which is about Jun 10th.

Still don't buy any of that, because most of the agents I've spoke to have confirmed that my device is waiting at the fulfillment center since April 8... A week before it was approved on all 3 levels. Yep.

Makes all the sense.

This is such a mess.

Yes, I have received 2 of the 4 that are due to me.  Two I choose the "send me a code" option and already received them - the other 2 I choose the "send me the googles" option and have yet to receive them.

Yes.  I received mine this past Wednesday May 11th.  I went through a number of different incidences, but at the end, the watch arrived and works.  At first I received notification that I would be receiving the VR which I DID NOT want, but things worked out through their system to send me what I ordered.  I had been waiting since March 8th.

I'm in the same boat - registered ~3/9, approved a week or two later and still nothing.  I chose to keep my accounts with Verizon based on this offer but if/when I have free time I will entertain the competition on switching over.  There has been no reliable communication ever on this, and lots of finger pointing which you don't expect with Verizon & Samsung.

Yes, that site has already said it was shipped, then changed to in route, back to shipped and now back to approved shipping pending.

It's frustrating when you have no idea when a valuable item may or may not show up on your doorstep.
