There is no official way to switch the OS on a tablet. If there is an unofficial method, it cannot and will not be discussed on this community forum since the ToS here forbids it.

Perhaps you should consider purchasing a Windows tablet instead. But be warned, the number of available applications is not as extensive as it is on Android OS.

If you wanted a windows system why didn't you buy a Microsoft tablet instead of android?  I prefer the Google app store over the MS app store myself.  Mary

This was my first tablet of any kind. Did not realize how much I like Windows OS. Plus, I got a good deal on this Android. No worries. Giving this to my boyfriend and I am getting a different tablet with Windows 10!!!!

Just make sure the MS store has the apps you want.  I much prefer an android system over 10.  Plus my android tablet has word, excel and power point.   Mary

Ann154 and acraftlady2, I appreciate you jumping in to help, Nstarche. It’s true that you can’t change an Android tablet to a Windows tablet, but I want to make sure you have the best possible experience for your device. There are some third-party applications available through Google’s Play Store that allows you to customize the Android interface to be more Windows-like. Is there something in particular you don’t like about the tablet? If you already gave it to your boyfriend, is everything working well for him? You can search for applications on an Android through https://play.google.com/store or visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/windows to see what’s available if you make the change to a Windows tablet.     JenniferH_VZW Follow us on Twitter @VZWSupport If my response answered your question please click the 'Correct Answer' button under my response. It is working great for my boyfriend. He loves it and when I get my new device with Windows 10 on it. I will be activating it online through My Verizon. Thanks for all of your help, everyone!!!
