I recently got a replacement note 4. When we did a sync from old to new phone, it wouldn't take over any of my calendar stuff. So I added in every email I have ever had in hopes calendar was linked to one of them. It was not, as nothing came through still. But since I did this, my verizon message plus app sends me an email to my outlook every time I get a text message. the email is a replica of my text message. I want the emails of text messages to stop coming. Can anyone help?

Ok here we go..
Open stock Email app
Click 3 dots in upper right
Select Settings
Select the account the emails/texts are being sent to (May have to select it twice)
Scroll to bottom select More Settings
Scroll Down and uncheck Sync Text Messages.....

jtandjillsmom,
We certainly want to uncover this message mystery. I have my magnify glass on for you & ready to get this resolved. On your older phone, were you using Verizon Messages at all & did this happen? Do you recall ever going into the settings of the Verizon Messages & linking your outlook email to it? Did this start to happen when you immediately started using the Verizon Messages after activating the replacement phone?

I did not use message plus before on old phone. When we were setting up the
new phone the sales person suggested that I use it because it is a great
app.

If I remember correctly, there was a setting in the Email application on the Samsung phones that allowed text messages to be sent to the default email address. I would suggest checking through the email application settings to see if there is a similar option.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

jtandjillsmom,
This is a great app to use & certainly want to get this fixed as quickly as possible. Let’s keep working at this. Can you please check to make sure that your software on the phone is up to date? Please go to Settings – System Updates – Check for new system update. Also, have you been able to try the great steps that Miller6386 provided?

I got tired of trying and went with the standard message app that came on
my phone. Plus I found that with message plus I was unable to reply on my
Samsung gear fit with it for texting.

The stock messaging app is what comes on the phone from the maker. LG has theirs and Samsung has their own. Message plus is verizons messaging app. When I had LG their app was nice and now with Samsung find I like their app. Never cared for message plus.
