How do I find out what my lock screen pin code is?

How do I find out what my lock screen pin code is? One of my friends was messing around with my lock screen and it somehow switched to pin code. I tried a few different pin codes but do not recall ever having set one up. I now have only 1 attempt left before it automatically resets to factory settings. So how can I either reset my pin code or find out what my current pin code is without having my phone reset to factory settings?

We want to get you back into your phone, KiKi.Legne! I apologize as there is no way that we can see the PIN or find out a hint. The last option is to accept a factory reset if you are unable to enter correct PIN.
