A friend just told me my voicemail box is full. I don't have any notification indicating I have any voicemail. I looked at my Notifications under Settings and Voicemail is On. I went to *86 and searched for a prompt and didn't find one. Please help. There is a previous post addressing this, but it was resolved by a private message. [removed]

Do you have a Verizon Wireless branded S8 or the unlocked model? Do you use visual voicemail or the basic non-visual voicemail?

Have you opened the voicemail application pre-installed on the phone?

The only Voicemail app I have on the phone is Verizon Visual Voicemail, which I thought there is a charge to use.

There is a charge for the premium version of visual voicemail. The basic visual voicemail is FREE.

I have several questions. Can you call me instead of the back and forth of emails. I’d rather get to the bottom of it now.

I'm not a Verizon Wireless employee. I'm just another customer like yourself.
You can reach Customer Service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from your phone.

I had been using that app previously and had declined the premium upgrade long ago. Somehow it was turned off, but the Settings notification was still on for it.
Thank you for your time.

What about the rest of us that have the same question?
Can't you just post the answer here instead of in a PM?

PonchoTA, I'd be lost without my voicemail notifications. Let's make sure that you can get yours. Please share details about your current voicemail experience. How long has this been going on?

Make sure mobile data is turned on, otherwise the little number that sits on the messages and vmail icons that tell you the number of messages or vmails waiting will not show up.
