How do I see which apps are using data?

How do you track which apps are using the most data? I just switched from a Droid 4 to the S4 and received a notice that over 75% of my data has been used in under 3 weeks. I never received this notice before so it much be some of the apps that came on the phone, which is very annoying to me, why would they automatically install apps that use so much data? Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

menu > settings > data usage, then scroll down to see which apps are using what data.

Try going to the Play Store and change your settings to only update over wi-fi; you also may want to change it to not update automatically (would give you a chance to review updates before committing).  Turning off mobile data until needed is also an option, especially if you're on wi-fi most of the time.

you might have facebook, twitter, email, stocks/bonds, weather, etc updating all the time & that data adds up.
