How to back up VZmedia and other folders in internal storage and microSD card to verizon cloud

I'd like these to be backed up to verizon cloud but can find no way to tell your cloud app specific directories to back up. All I can do is select "photos, contacts, videos etc. I want to be able to select other directories to back up and also to keep the file structure. Right now I have to plug phone into desktop and do it by hand and back up desktop.....

Hello, dave1151. We certainly want to help with the Verizon Cloud in every way that we can. What is the make and model of the device that you have? -Brett

Galaxy A50 and A51. For what I'm asking it shouldn't matter. I should be able to browse my phone and point to a file directory and select it for back up, like any competent back up program does. As it is now, my phone only lists categories for selection like photos rather than locations.

dave1151, Verizon Cloud cannot backup data saved on your SD card in this case. Verizon Cloud will only back up data stored on the phones actual internal memory. Any photos or videos must be located on the phone itself. You can follow the link here: http://spr.ly/6605yUFCv on how to sync your media.

The current operation of Verizon Cloud is fantastic for a majority of users.  Easy to keep media, documents, calls, and texts backed up.

Great, but it would also be awesome if subscribers could use a "Google Drive style" app to manage and navigate cloud storage.  Many subscribers prefer to maintain, organize, and otherwise manage their local storage (file system).  This is irrespective of whether a device has been rooted with a custom rom (or jailbroken), we take the onus to balance internal and sdcard storage.  Similarly, we make sure all files and folders stay backed up to cloud storage to simplify device disaster recovery.

I need to allude once more to Google Drive (or Dropbox or... or...), as most cloud synchronization apps integrate easily with it.  These services behave more like an sd card and less like a gallery organized by media type.  Verizon started to step up to the plate when Google Photos sunset their unlimited photo storage model, it would delight many subscribers to find they could configure their favorite cloud sync & backup app to mirror local folders without concern for file extention or meta content.  Adding this functionality to Private Folder would be a great start.

Power users rely on Verizon, as it is the most dependable network with unmatched coverage.  As such, we need Verizon to invest in their cloud storage model just a bit more.

I would rather pay for a larger Google drive space than use the Verizon Cloud.

That of course is your choice.

I have 600GB Verizon Cloud included in my plan at no additional charge.  My 200GB Google One/Drive is not free.

I would like to be able to use the features included in my plan.

Well I don't have any free Verizon Cloud service with my line. I'm technically still working with the free 15 GB for both Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive. Perhaps it was the benefits of purchasing Pixels phone instead some other brand.

Have you considered backing up to your Google drive instead?

I prefer not to do both. But I get your point. However, it seems like Verizon should be capable of doing this with their app. I will certainly look into it's capability and cost. Not sure I trust the google regarding privacy, but, I guess, the same could be said for V.

I understand your point. One advantage of Google Drive is that it could work no matter which carrier you are using your phone on. With Verizon Cloud, you will lose access to the data if you ever decided to leave Verizon Wireless.

There is also Microsoft's One Drive. There might other cloud storage options available too.
