How to down load pictures

I have a Nexus phone. I've taken some pictures, however I have not been able to view the on my computer. Can some one help me?

Are you getting an error when you use the supplied USB cable to connect to the computer.  The Nexus by default is set to connect to a computer using MTP (Media Device).  What operating system are you using on your computer?  Help us help you.  Please provide more details.
