Been having trouble with my phone not ringing for a call. I'll get the voicemail tone if the caller leaves one, but it doesn't even show as a missed call. Verizon put up a new tower a little over half a mile away and my phone won't recognize it. I was hoping the new tower would get rid of the missed calls. I did a call with tech support and installed some software to reset my network, all that accomplished is that I had to re-do my bluetooth connections in my cars.... I tried calling to day and got the same thing which I politely refused. I've turned the phone off a couple of times but the cell locater on the app shows I'm getting "signal" from a tower quite a distance away.
no, towers are directional & if you're not facing the portion of he tower that radiates the signal, it doesn't matter how close you are to the tower!
Maybe it's time for a 'road trip' to test the signal in a circle around the tower to see if 'directional' is coming into play.
Service concerns are not what we want for you. Allow us to troubleshoot as I understand you've addressed this concern previously. What’s your zip code? When did this start? Do you know other VZW customers with the same concerns? Does service improve in other areas? What make and model device do you have?

Zip is 03741 the missed calls are getting worse, thought the new tower would help. There must be an issue with the tower way out that's supplying my signal. I've use the tower locater app in different parts of town, and the new tower never shows. I've only heard of one person that thinks his reception is better.

was the new tower for verizon or was verizon added to the tower?
the coverage map says you should have 4g.
We want to make sure you have the best service possible. How long has this been going on? Is it happening indoors or outdoors?

It's mostly indoors as the tower the app says I'm getting my signal from is quite a distance. This new tower doesn't seem to be shown on the app at all, no matter where in town I go. It is a Verizon tower.
Is it possible the tower isn't active yet?

On my Droid Turbo 2, I use Network Cell Info Lite.

Thank you for the helpful information, tomg88. If the issue is mainly indoors, it sounds like there may be interference caused by factors that are out of our control. This can be caused by foliage, line of site with the cell tower, and the foundation of your building. If you have access to WiFi we would recommend using WiFi calling, http://spr.ly/6585D0PRH.
