My home does not have coverage by Verizon (no service does on top my mountain), I use the Samsung 3G Microcell to give my home and yard coverage. As I drive down the mountain I gain coverage by Verizon LTE network. The issue is that my Samsung S6 often will not reconnect with the data Network; Verizon sent me a new Sim card and that enabled me to connect to basic phone service every time (no data). 3 or 4 days out of 7 right now I do not automatically reconnect to Verizon towers. I can go to airplane mode and back and reconnect, but I want this happen automatically. I have done the Factory reset a few times and even had a new phone & new sim card shipped to me, but this keeps happening. Do you think my microcell needs a firmware update? I have looked on the Verizon site and do not find one. Anything else?
It works fine as I drive and connects with new towers after I reset it the first time. This really seems to be connected to my wifi at home or the Samsung 3G microcell. I only have this issue after I was home.

I have now done it two days in a row and this worked both days. If I turn my phone to airplane mode before i leave the house and then cycle it back to normal in the dead zone I have around my house; the phone will pick up the network as normal when I get to the normal Verizon coveage area. This is not really easier than just doing the airplane mode trick later after I am in the coverage area, but it seems to indicate that the issue is with our phones state after leaving our home network extenders.
This just continues to indicate that the Dec Update introduced a bug into our phones that interfers with the phone picking up the data coverage after leaving a zone provided by the Network extender. If we break the connection first before leaving then the data re-connection works.

i did not try safemode yet, but did try the airplane mode idea i have seen proposed in one of the threads. What I do is put my phone in airplane mode before i leave my home with the network extender from Samsung. I turn off airplane mode in the dead zone between my house in CT to the 4G network down the moutain. It reconneded just fine to the network. The issue as many have said is that the Network Extender is putting the phone in some type of state that it will not reconnect.
This did work just fine before DEC 2015. It worked for 5 months after I bought this phone till it stoped in late DEC. Something changed in DEC, I do not rember a firmware update to the network extender, so it must have been the dec update to the S6 that did it. Once my wife buys a new phone we will try the wifi calling instead of the network extender. Her current phone does not have wifi calling on it for verizon. We can get rid of the network extender.
