When I signed up a year ago on the "start" unlimited I 'then' *had* a personal hotspot. I think today I lost it. My 4G icon at the upper part of the phone went out. I had to call. We went through some steps. to where I had to restart my phone and remove the wifi in house house off of the phone. After the restart if I want a hotspot I now have to pay $10 more a month. I feel something has been taken away from me that I had at signup. Did verizon take this capability away that already had? Now I see the hotspot is no longer available with my plan! They took something away from and switched the hotspot to an extra charge! Is this legal? Or am I confused?

Start Unlimited never had a hotspot nor was advertised as having it. It had an official hotspot allowance added for 2 cycles beginning of Covid-19 relief, but that was it.
Any provisioning for hotspot outside these two months would be a technical error and not Verizon taking something away you're entitled to. If you need a hotspot, Play/Do More is $10 extra.
