I purchased a sky blue Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra unlocked through SAMSUNG. I have been having this problem for months and have unfortunately spent countless (im talking 8+) WASTED HOURS on the phone with (poor English speaking representatives - they dont even understand what im saying how can they effectively do their job? And help me? ) Verizon & Asurion because my IMEI shows my phone color as black, however, my phone is SkyBlue. I've been given the run around and blatenly lied to over and over again because the reps either don't understand my request or tell me it's fixed and it's not or they dont know how to fix it. Idk what to do. I called samsung today and they said my IMEI shows up as sky blue NOT black. Verizon & Asurion claim it shows as black NOT blue & that they "can't fix the IMEI " & Asurion has no problem taking my money every month and then puts no effort into fixing the issue I'm having. Idk what to do I'm gonna lose it if I have to keep this broken screen or sit on hold again for hours for no one to actually fix the issue. Can someone help, and tell me how I can change the imei to reflect the correct color?

Maybe the people at the overseas call center are confused with what you're asking. It's not that the IMEI needs to be changed - that isn't possible - but simply that the device description in your account needs to be updated. I'm guessing this is holding up an Asurion claim to get your screen replaced, because the insurance company is saying your phone is black when it isn't?
If nobody can update the description, then I'd say to cancel the insurance and pay the cost of the screen replacement yourself.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
