This started to happen to me in the last couple of months. I have had my Samsung Fascinate for a year now. I keep it in the docking station while at work. I will get the alert sound that I have a voice mail, but I never heard the phone ring for the voice call. I will then call my mobile phone from my office phone and my mobile phone does not ring.

I called technical support to report the issue. I already had all the latest updates. They had me take the battery out and put it back in and that fixed it, that is until it happens again, which it did this morning. Tech support had no other fix.

Ashburn, thanks for sharing your concern about missing calls on the Fascinate. There was a software update for this issue on 7/28 and it has resolved the majority of our customers' issues with missing calls. If you have the most current software (ED05) and are still having this issue, I would first recommend a factory reset. This will wipe all info on the phone and restore to factory default settings. Your contacts should be backed up to either Google or Backup Assistant. You can also back them up to the SD card by going into the Contacts, pressing Menu, Import/Export, Export to SD card. The next step after that would be a warranty replacement.

  MarqulafF,

I don't think doing a factory reset will do any good, I think it is more of a network issue than anything. I have the Fascinate and have all the patches, my wife has a Continuum and has not had a single patch since she bought it, and it is running 2.1. Both of our phones will at times miss calls and text messages while sitting next to each other and with good coverage.
