International Plan or Local SIM for 1 day in Qatar

Hi! I have some international travel coming up which includes a 1 day stopover in Qatar. Any visitor to that country needs to have their COVID contact tracing app up and running which is regularly asked for at hotels, restaurants etc. Wondering which is a better option- TravelPass for a day or buying a local SIM card. There is a good chance that I will be using apps like Uber during that stopover. I aleady know that Galaxy s10 does not support eSim, so thats out. Thanks for any input.
