International Sim Card

Hello, I would like to use an International Sim Card in my Verizon Samsung S23.  I don't want to lose my current cell phone number.  Is it possible to put an International Sim Card in my current Samsung phone and NOT lose my cell while having the Sim card in there?  I plan on having the Sim Card for an extended period-possibly a year....

Hello, runnplay4, we want to make sure that we are able to answer your questions completely. With your phone being unlocked, you will be able to use an international SIM while traveling. As far as your US number, it will not be lost as long as you continue to pay your Verizon bill while traveling. I understand you will be traveling for an extended period of time. What I suggest is to suspend your service while traveling. Please click here: https://www.verizon.com/support/suspend-service-faqs/#other-suspension for more information.

Phones purchased from Verizon are carrier locked, and will be automatically unlocked in 60 days if they are active on a Verizon Wireless account. ~Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for answering but I don't see the relation to unlock my phone and my question. My phone is unlock so that is not an issue. I want to ensure when I use an International Sim card that my verizon cell number will not be lost, that it will continue to be mine, for however long I need the Sim card.
