I just started streaming radio and pandora using a bluetooth speaker. I checked my data usage to see where I was and the analysis showed a high percentage of my data use was for gaming. I don't do any gaming so wondering if this is incorrect.

If you stream anything, or for that matter, accessing the Internet without wifi, it uses data.
That wasn't their question. They wanted to know why music is being labled at gaming by Verizon's data thingy. I keep teling people to ignore that but they don't.

If we start ignoring what we're being told, at what point or for what should we pay attention to? What if there's an additional charge placed on 'gaming', should that be ignored? If data is going to be categorized by Verizon, it should be correct or just labelled 'data'.

Because that catogory thing is often wrong and just confuses people. And no differnet charges for different uses will not happen and if it ever did there is solution find a new carrier. Your device has a data meter and it will correctly tell you which apps are using which data and how much, So if you really need to know that's what you use

Tracking your data use is always a good idea, karl60. Itโs important to monitor the total overall use, as boringusername and jrh4054 mention. Itโs equally important, as jav6 points out, that we represent your data use as accurately as possible. Iโve sent you a Private Note to look into this in more detail for you.
