I think so but I'm somewhat biased. The added features and functionality Froyo has added have certainly improved the phone and it fits my needs perfectly...but to be honest, one of my stepboys has a HTC Thunderbird and it is really sweet. 4G is amazing.

Well for me i wouldnt trade my fascinate for the thunderbolt because 95 percent of my problems have been solved with the update. Even the voice quality is better(remember the bug in the mic). No problems with the phone freezing either so far . Runs Flawlessly.

With Froyo the Fascinate is worthy of consideration as a top contender. I still believe no other phone offers the quality graphics Fascinate does, but it also is missing some things that may be important to some folks:
No LED notifications
No HDMI output
No front facing camera
I consider a 4" screen the max for something you still want to call a phone, it is light yet sturdy, well shaped and designed. The company that makes it, I consider worthless in the customer support area, so you need to learn to help yourself.
That is my opinion without letting my personal disappointments cloud my judgement.

Pretty much the way I feel too. This phone is much more "finished" than my last phone (Samsung Omnia) so the need for TLC from Samsung is considerably less, thank goodness.
I did find a rather decent work-around for the lack of an LED notification. Try the NoLED app. I actually prefer it to a simple LED because it is customizeable for differnt types of notifications (SMS, missed call, etc...)
