Is there a way to retrieve my contacts from my old phone?

Is there a way to get my contacts from my old phone? The phone would still would still ring, and I get message notifications, but the screen is black. I have recieved my new phone and activated it.

try hooking it up to a computer and browsing the folders

Hopefully your Gmail account has back up your contacts, R2Q2. When you put in your Gmail account to your new device, they should sync. Also, Check and see if you had the Verizon Cloud. That also backs up contacts.
