Did you do a factory data reset?

Nothing good came with this update. .... the notifications are larger in the lock screen,  that is the only significant change .... but this update has just killed the phone,  .... I went from loving it,  to wanting to throw it against a brick wall ...... fix it,  Verizon,  Samsung. Whoever ..... this is garbage. .... way to piss the customers of a flagship phone off .... I swear, are they doing this out of stupidity?  Or is it to kill the last great phones before introducing new ones and wanting to force sales.

Won't that wipe all my apps and data?  .... or just my defaults

Has it been widely tested and validated as a fix for this

It most certainly will and it is recommended to do so after every software update.

Arrrrrggggghhhhh, such crap to be forced into that as the only option for an update

It's not "forced" it's widely known and accepted that phones get software updates.

So far I have tried:

Unmount SD card, power off, remove battery, remove SD card/reinsert SD card & battery, power on

     Wipe data cache

Factory reset (such a pain & time consuming!)

     Another wipe data cache

NONE of this has helped the major issues. I do notice that a lot of things look much different after the reset so something worked better after that, but still same battery drain, heating up, lag, etc, etc
