We want your voicemail to work without any issues MANDIREISS. I'm sorry you have to refresh the app to get it working each time. What phone do you have? Do you have a Prepaid account?

Would also like to mention it started as soon as the promo "Visual" voicemail ran out.

You should verify which visual voicemail you are subscribed to. You might not be subscribed to any of them which would explain why the application isn't working.

I am not subscribed to any "Visual". When prompted, I declined to keep the one that was on the phone for $2.99 a month. I just have regular voicemail.

Which phone model do you have? For some phones there is a free Basic Visual Voicemail that will let you use the voicemail application to access the voicemail. The basic visual voicemail should be listed on your account as a feature if you are subscribed to it. if you truly only have the basic non-visual voicemail then you don't use the application to access the voicemail. You can only access it by calling *86 through the voicemail key in the dialer or manually dialing it.

The Galaxy S7. I have learned that I have the Basic Visual Voicemail. I cleared the data and let the phone set it up again and declined the "Premium". I still must refresh to get voicemails...
Another quick question, that I hope is an easier fix than this...is there a way to stop notifications on "blocked" calls? I see that the blocked list is not a true block, but a reject call. These numbers are still leaving messages, and I would at least like my phone to stop lighting up for numbers that I have blocked.
Funny, we buy these phones with all these features, and its starting to feel like they are forgetting that it is a PHONE!!
Thank you for you help so far, and I hope to get this al resolved somehow. My next step is going to be to upgrade to the same phone, just to get one that may work!

Getting voicemail notifications is important, MANDIREISS. I have had this happen to me in the past with a new device and this is what you need to do. Please dial *86 and follow the prompts to turn your voice mail notifications on. Once this step is complete you will receive all your voicemails and voicemail notifications.
As for blocking calls, we do have a free service where you can block calls. Here is how to access it. http://vz.to/2dQXAmZ This will completely block the call from your phone. It is a bit more powerful than your device’s blocking capabilities.

Not quite sure which prompts to choose for notifications when I dial *86. I went through all the options, and nothing about notifications...
The blocking through the website is very handy, and has stopped a lot of unnecessary business.

MANDIRESS We understand how important it is for you to manage your voice mail settings. The settings vary based on location. After you dial *86 and send, select option number 4 for changing Personal Options. Depending on your location, most states will have an option for Notification settings. Tell us what happens after you select option #4 and listen to all of the options.

Press 2 for Administrative Options
Press 3 to Record a Greeting
Press 4 for Pager Notifications
Press * to Exit
I tried pressing 4, and it said no pager listed to account, which is correct...just hit it because it was the only one that said anything about notifications.

It might be under the Administrative options too.

Do you have any background data restrictions set up on the phone?

Hi MANDIREISS. I had the same issue and found a solution for it. What you will need to do is to go into SETTINGS then into APPS or APPLICATIONS, then look for your voicemail app. Click on the app to get to the setting options. Now click "force stop" then right after click "delete data". Once you did that restart your phone. Once it's back up start your voicemail app and follow the directions. That fixed it for me. I tried *86 before but that didn't work. Hope that helps you.
Good luck
