Magnetic Closures on cases affect Spen functions

Shortly after receiving my new Note 3, I discovered that there was a dime sized spot on my screen where the S pen was not registering. It would not write on or select anything in that small area. My local Verizon store deemed my phone defective and replaced it with a new one. However, I started having the same problem on my new device only a few hours later. I spent several hours on the phone with Verizon and Samsung and no one could give me a solution to this problem. I decided to look online and see if anyone else was having the same or similar problems. I finally found a forum and discovered that the problem was with the magnetic closure on my flip case. I couldn't believe that no one at Verizon or Samsung knew that magnets can affect the S pen functions. Has anyone else experienced this problem? And does anyone know of any good flip or wallet style cases that do not use a magnetic closure?
