I got my phone in August and really don't use the music app but in trying it today when I click on it opens fine to the playlist tab but then if you try and go to tracks or any where else it crashes saying unfortunately music apps has stopped and I have to hit ok to exit. I see else where other's complaining about this. Wonder if it was due to the update or what? Can it be fixed? Mary

That didn't solve it. It opens to playlist and you can do anything in that tab but if you click any other tab in there a grey box comes up and says unfortunately music has stopped and it exits out and you have to hit ok on the grey screen to remove that error screen. I only have a few songs on here but I should still be able to browse those other tabs without it doing this right? Mary

No new applications downloaded. I didn't click the music app before the update or ever use it so not sure if this started after the update or what. Strangest thing, I just went to try it again and now the app is missing, I mean I am not seeing the icon anymore and I know I didn't hide it. I looked in the application manager and don't see it now, only thing I see is Verizon tones which I don't use. I am sure it was a bright red app like Verizon tones, voice mail and such but it's just gone. Mary

The Samsung music app is a blue circle with a green musical note in it and it's called Music. And, of course, the Google music app is called Play Music. Both apps should still be on the phone after the updates. Did you check the Turned Off tab in Application Manager to ensure it wasn't accidentally turned off?

Oh geesh I am loosing it, yes I still have the one with the green music note and I can open it but still can't click on any tabs as it closes. Mary
