I have a Galaxy S6. I went to use the My Verizon app and it redirected me to the Play Store to update the app. When I select the update button, the button briefly changes color but doesn't update.
I have tried restarting the phone, disabling the app, force starting the app, update on and off of Wi-Fi with no luck. It's very frustrating as I use the app a lot. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

As far as I know yes. I tried to find a way to update it and got a message that it automatically updates

System Updates says it's up to date but the last update was June 11, 2018

Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing it? There are a number of threads on this forum reporting issues with people updating the app. Some have posted what they did to get the app to update, one being going to the Play Store, My Apps, and selecting Update All Apps. Good luck!

I tried uninstalling but it will only let me disable it. I tried updating all and everything updated except the My Verizon app

I finally got it to update. Not sure which made it update but I restarted phone, turned on Wi-Fi, disabled then enabled app, went to the Play Store and updated all apps. It took the update.

My Verizon app still won't update I have reset it a few times my Play Store won't even let me view the apps that I need to update it tells me there's an error and when I run the button to find out if theres an error it says there is no error and in the place of where the uninstall button for my Verizon app is supposed to be there is just an update button

The last way we want you to feel is frustrated. It's important to be able to update the apps on your phone. What is the make and model of your phone? What steps have you tried? I would like you to clear the cache on your apps, but I would need to know the make and model to give you the steps. If you go to our webpage and click the Search icon (magnifying glass), and type in "clear cache," then type in the make and model of your phone, you will see the steps on how to complete it on your device. For example, "clear cache galaxy s20" or "clear cache moto z4," would be how you want to enter it, except you would put in your device in the search field. I was having the same problem. I cleared Google play store cache and it updated no problem.
